“Drawing architecture isn’t just about drawing a building; it should celebrate how form, function and texture interact with light and shadow.”
ABOUT GREG
Born in central New Jersey, Greg DiNapoli is pencil artist working in the style of realism. He discovered his love for architecture, lighthouses and the Titanic at a young age and spent much of his childhood drawing and building them out of Lego bricks.
After graduating college, Greg decided to take drawing more seriously and began pushing his skills. Today he strives to keep historic architecture, lighthouses and the Titanic alive through his drawings. He hopes to bring his subjects to life through perspective, value contrast, and creating textures that leap off the page, captivating the viewer with realism.
Greg has been recognized in many international art competitions such as The Derwent Art Prize, ARC Salon, and Artists Network’s Strokes of Genius, the Best of Drawing. Greg has also been published in several magazines, most notably American Art Collector, Artists Magazine, and Art & Color 365 Magazine. His work has been exhibited in galleries from Los Angeles to New York City to London. He has a growing following on social media where his videos have received well over a million views.
Greg has maintained his drawing practice while having 20+ year career as an Art Director. He loves to travel and visit historic sites, constantly looking for new drawing subjects. He currently resides near the Jersey Shore with his wife and daughter.
